Terms of Service
These terms cover use of this website. The full contractual relationship between Socio and a contractor is the Marketing Services Agreement, not this page.
1. What this site is
socio.nyc is a marketing site for Socio’s contractor marketing service. Homeowners and contractors use it to start a conversation on WhatsApp or submit a form; it is not a marketplace, a bidding platform, or a payment processor.
2. Service scope
For contractors, the paid service (demand research, campaign setup, content, follow-up support, reporting) is defined in the Marketing Services Agreement, available at /contract. This page does not modify that agreement.
3. Payment terms
Fees are flat — fixed monthly, one-time, or fixed per verified deposit, as stated in the order a contractor selects. No fee is calculated as a percentage of a construction contract. See the Marketing Services Agreement §§ 2–3 for the exact invoicing trigger.
4. Cancellation
Service is month-to-month unless an order states otherwise. Either party may cancel before the next billing period; there is no long-term lock-in. Fees already earned remain due.
5. The legal boundary
Socio does not solicit, negotiate, or obtain home improvement contracts, and is not a party to any construction agreement. The contractor is the sole party to the construction contract with the homeowner, and controls pricing, estimates, customer acceptance, performance, licensing, insurance, and warranties.
6. Site use
Use this site to contact Socio about its marketing service or to inquire as a homeowner. Don’t use it to submit false contact information, to scrape or automate access, or to attempt to interfere with the site or its underlying services.
7. Governing law
These terms, and the Marketing Services Agreement, are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Venue for any dispute is Kings County or New York County, at Socio’s election.
8. Limitation of liability
Socio’s total liability arising from use of this site or the marketing service is limited to fees paid by the contractor in the preceding three months. Socio is not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, or consequential damages.
